SUMMER RODEO……SHORT BUT SWEET

Results for the RVRCE Rodeo Extravaganza Summer Season got off to a rough start as the club had scheduled 5 Rodeo Events.  The first two scheduled Rodeos were canceled due to the Equine Virus and the Wallow Fire.  The kids of the Round Valley area would just not give up on their summer sport of Rodeo.  The RVRCE Club had amazingly received 26 Buckles Donated from Local Rodeo Families in Memory of their family Cowboy or Cowgirl.  The Buckles were awarded at the July 2nd Jr. Rodeo, with over 100 Cowboy and Cowgirls Competing for the 26 Buckles.

This was a tradition of the Round Valley area years ago, when the Marlen and Bonnie Rogers Fun Day started as a Rodeo for kids in their own back yard arena. Their daughters decided to it was time to bring back the tradition of sending 26 different kids home with buckles, this allowing the kids to only win one buckle of the day.  ‘There is nothing like a look of a young cowboy or cowgirl winning their 1st Buckle”.  Our Families hope that it will encourage these young cowboys and cowgirls to continue competing in the Sport of Rodeo like it did us. The results for the 3 events held during the summer were:
