Well here it is, the last Rodeo of the season. We have had a blast so far and can’t wait for Saturday to finish things up. The awards are all in, and after we all rodeo, bbq, and relax we will be handing out some nice equipment and prizes.

The site has been fun to maintain, but I’d love to know what we can change to make it better or add something to have it be a better experience for everyone that visits it. Please let me know what we can do to improve the site.

Online entry is receiving submissions for the Jackpot this Friday. We have surpassed 1,770 hits and have been viewed in 16 States.

Points page has been modified to better fit the layout of the year-end points. Riding has been moved into it’s own page, and also removed from the main age group sections. Similar changes have been made to the Rodeo software to get everyone on the same page.

Rodeo Committee Meeting – Year-end awards were discussed, voted upon, and choosen. Sorry no Dodge Viper this year. Buckles needed for Eagar Daze are being ordered.

Website reaches 1,300 hits and has been viewed in 12 states. Content will be modified to support that audience. Video content of the riding events will be coming from the Memorial Day rodeo.

Cherish the Moment & Redskin Graphics has hand selected 800 of the best photos captured of the May 26th event, and we are achin’ to share ‘em with ya’ll. For $5.00 you can receive a CD or DVD with all of the photos taken that will make beautiful 4×6 or full page prints (They are even great computer wallpapers!). These will be available at the June 13th Jackpot. If you’d like to have a copy shipped to you, for an additional $2.50 we will be more than happy to drop it in the mail for you.

Entries are taken in person at the Rodeo Grounds as well as over the phone. Online entries are over 40 and website hits have surpassed 1,000.

Six inches of snow fell in Round Valley today. The arena is quite muddy. Club Committee met and decided to postpone rodeo until May 26th. Weather permitting.

Website is viewed in Australia. Word is getting out on the site and 10 online entries are recorded.

May 2008

Laptop is used to create program to run the rodeos. Farmtek is contacted and equipment is procured to interface the existing Electric Eye (from previous Rodeo Club) with the laptop computer. Times to the thousandths of a second will be recorded into the computer.

Grounds, Livestock, and man power is all confirmed for the Memorial Day rodeo to be held on the 24th of May.

First online entry is received. Thanks Criss family for being the brave souls.

Google Analytics is installed on the site.

April 2008

Current version of the site is molded. Online entry is built and main content is revised. Club begins to receive sponsorship from local business and industry. Club meeting to check on current happenings with scheduling.

Laptop computer donated by Tucson Electric Power (Springerville Generating Station) for the use of website maintenance, Planning and running rodeos, and points calculations for the season’s awards.

Town of Eagar approached us to help put on some local rodeo goodness for the youth of the community. Domain acquired and plans for rodeo club site discussed.
